I was standing on the scaffolding of the universe
Drenched in my youth, relieved of my nostalgic tendencies for the occasion
And there, in all its beauty, each hole that reign down from the heavens shown in its glory
(In that of a matches’ shared child)
And below I watched as the golden god stepped forth from his majesty
To give us his voice to dance
And so we did as we drank away our morality and forgave our resent
Our bodies moved as one in the sky, as if we had won under one sky
Fluent and transcending we were one under the sky
His lips to ours kissed words that we preached
Heavy and lucid, they branded my chest off hot coals
As if I knew what he was talking about
As if he was singing just for me
His existence surrounded
His body embodied by lust
Immersed by the sea
Encircle by brick
Each made of faces and eyes
And I wondered as I bowed
At what point of praise
Does man cease to be man?
